"It's horrible when you find out you participated in what ended up being a bad result, especially when a death is involved."

Contact Your Representatives in the State Legislature

Tell them: "I am a New Jersey citizen and I was involved in the effort to end the death penalty in our state. Please now lend your support to two bills:

A-2887/S-2692, with an amendment that would provide dedicated grants to non-profits that provide counseling services for the families of murder victims. The New Jersey Death Penalty Study Commission identified counseling as a critical need for these families and its recommendation to provide these services should be honored.

and

A-4018/S-2205, which would provide fair compensation for the wrongfully convicted in New Jersey.

I urge you to take the lead in insuring these important bills are acted on immediately when the Legislature returns in November."
